Press Release Summary = EasyLobby enhances its building security software system with eCustoms\' online Restricted Party Screening tool
Press Release Body = July 10, 2006 Buffalo, N.Y. EasyLobby, Inc., the global leader in secure visitor management systems, has partnered with MSR eCustoms to enhance its building security software system with real-time, online background checks to identify individuals who may pose a security threat.
eCustoms is a leading provider of automated systems that help international companies comply with global customs laws and regulations. One component of these solutions is a tool that screens names against databases of people who are categorized by the Government as a Restricted Party, and therefore a security threat.
When a visitor's ID (passport, license or business card) is scanned by an EasyLobby system, the name (and license number or other data) is automatically passed to eCustoms' online screening solution, where it is checked against up to 50 different government-maintained Restricted Party databases. Any matches are then displayed to the guard or receptionist, who with "one click" can then drill down to see the detailed government record on the person and decide whether to let him or her enter the facility.
"For many years we have had a Watch List feature in our visitor management system to alert customers about unwanted visitors. Traditionally, our customers have used the Watch List feature to stop ex-employees, estranged spouses, and the like from entering their facilities" said EasyLobby CEO Howard Marson. "With the integration of eCustoms' Restricted Party Screening solution, we are now able to extend the Watch List concept to identify and bar entry to individuals who appear on any one of the government's Restricted Party lists, in real time, and without having to periodically download those lists into our own database."
eCustoms president and CEO Rajiv Manucha said the partnership demonstrated the flexibility and functionality of the company's compliance solutions, including its Restricted Party Screening tool.
"Our solutions are designed to be integrated with many different types of business operations - retail, wholesale, manufacturing - as well as with major ERP systems," said Manucha. "Our screening tool currently helps a wide range of organizations understand who they are doing business with. With the help of EasyLobby, they will also know who they are opening their doors to."
